|Recommended: YesMoved in this week — Just moved in this week, and very impressed with North Cape overall Looking forward to exploring Mount Horeb.
|Recommended: YesNew resident — We like it so far. Nice and quiet.
|Recommended: YesGood quality — It is got a great open floor plan.
|Recommended: YesGreat place to live. — very happy here until this week elevator broke on wed. not expected to be fixed until next week i am 80 yrs old and this causes a problem for me.
|Recommended: YesNice place — Clean, quite, modern. For sure the nicest place I've ever lived.
|Recommended: YesBest Apartments in Mount Horeb Area — I've lived in six apartments buildings in the years after going to UW Madison and there's a reason I've been at Northcape Appts for more than one lease term. Best apartments, I believe, in Madison Middleton Mount Horeb area.
|Recommended: YesClean and well laid out — The timely fashion to get things done by the property managers is a little alarming. It took over a week to get a new fab and there was never really any updates provided. Then the storage unit took 3 weeks to get with again poor communication. We always had to reach out to get answers instead of the property managers reaching out and letting us know what is going on.
|Recommended: NoNice place, poor management — It's fine unless you have a problem, then they ghost you.
|Recommended: YesFirst year here — Pleasant place to live. We are on 2nd floor of 2 floors and haven't noticed noise from adjoining units. Hopefully we aren't noisy for the units below us. Having a parking spot plus storage unit underground, on-premises is a really nice amenity. Underground parking is fairly warm in the winter as well. Above ground lot parking not assigned can become quite full with just 2 buildings served, it'll be interesting to see what happens with a third building currently being built. Maintenance have all been professional and personable when having to enter unit for minor fixes. I would feel comfortable having them enter while not at home. Management has been very sincere and tenant serving in every interaction. There were a couple mix-ups that were frustrating for us, but management definitely came across sincere in their apologies moreso than I have come accustomed to in interactions with other management companies in previous apartments. Security is noticeable, but not obtrusive. There are security cameras on-site, keyed entry, and lit parking lots. Although Mt Horeb doesn't seem like a village ripe with bandits, it's nice to have a layer of security. Finally, very glad management is welcoming towards dogs and service animals.
|Recommended: NoOverall Very Nice. — I really like the apartment and setup. There is plenty of space for a 1 bedroom, and i really like the appliances. It does seem pricey for the area though, and am a bit concerned with how much rent has risen after just recently being purchased.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place — Very pleasant place to live
|Recommended: YesBeautiful apartments. — Its a beautiful apartment but the windows leak cold air a lot. Had to remind management to mow the lawn.
|Recommended: YesThe apartments are well-designed, but the rent is too high for the lack of amenities. — The property is very quiet despite having many dogs in our building. The other tenants have all been friendly and pleasant. While I understand that it's very common for rent to increase each year, this property doesn't have any amenities such as a pool or gym and it's in a very small town, so I don't think Madison rent prices should be the norm at this property. There aren't very many rental choices in Mount Horeb, so they can essentially charge whatever they want if people really want to stay in the area. The insulation leaves a lot to be desired as the inside of our windows and the door to our patio are usually dripping with water on the colder days.
|Recommended: YesPositive — Seems good. Just trying to get this survey message off my alerts list.
|Recommended: YesClean, modern living spaces with friendly neighbors. — I have nothing but positives to say about my time at the NorthCape Apartments. They are new and well-maintained. Complimentary underground parking in a heated lot with addition al storage is a huge bonus. Pets are welcome, and though I don't own one, I have never had an issue with neighbor's pets.
